flowstyle

like a rap freestyle except written down before hand. commonly used on mixtapes where another beat is used and and rappers "tag off" with their written verses instead of the usual verse-chorus-verse-chorus format.

basically any mixtape song with no hook. Jay-Z and Mickey Avalon's old tracks with no hooks are a prime examples of flowstyles.
