Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop game called an RPG(role-playing game). Dungeons and Dragons(D&D)is one of the greatest games ever created as it taps into the endless imagination of one's own mind and that can give anybody the power to do anything they wish as long as one can imagine it... The main premise of any role-playing game is to assume a role of a character in the story being told. Of course, that is a very succinct version of role-playing games(RPGs)in general.
The lengthy and intricate version is a bit daunting as this game allows you to;
1. Do anything you want.
2. Be anyone you want.
3. Do it with whomever you want to do it with.
4. Live any way you want to live.
5. Be the greatest hero in the story or the most vile villain.

Any action can occur and does as all the Dungeon Master(DM) does is place the Player Characters(PCs) into a situation and the player characters use their minds, wits, items, spells and weapons or anything else they can find, borrow or steal to get through that situation. If successful, they find wealth, fame and fortune as well as a rise in personal wisdom, dignity and self worth. All good things. If they fail then they may lose eveything, including the characters life. The game's goal is to basically become the most powerful and successful that one can be...not unlike real life. Like real life you can experience all the joys, happiness and hope of successfully reaching your goals as well as the pain, sorrow and despair of failing to meet your expectations. One game could take quite literally years to end and within that time your character could get married, have children, establish a home and a community or conquer the known world...the sky is not the limit with this game. You can easily travel to other worlds or known planes of existence, you can experience the light and awe of the various planes of good and righteousness or peruse the darkness and fire of the many planes of hell among many pantheons of any culture.
The diversness of races, classes and abilities are not limited in any way. As long as one can imagine it...it can be.
Truly a visceral, educational and limitless experience and I believe everyone should take a spin as their favorite hero or villain. As long as you retain the perspective that even though it is a game that can lead you to extraordinary places and events and awesome heights of grandeur and fame...it is still just a game.
Dungeons & Dragons has produced some of the world's greatest tales of adventure and heroism...all written by the people who play it.

Dungeons & Dragons

One of the best games to ever be created! A lot of people think it's nerdy and complex but that is just not true. Basically in the game, there's a dungeon master who tells the story and guides the players through the story and gives them different obstacles to cross, puzzles to solve, monsters to fight etc. and the players are the main characters in the story who have to try to survive their journey and reach their goal. The only limit is your imagination and that is one of the sole reasons why a lot of people love this game. Another reason why this game is phenomenal is that if one doesn't understand the rules, they can make up their own rules which has always been an outstanding and fascinating to a lot of people.

Dungeons & Dragons

The game that all the science nerds, band kids, theater freaks, and plain ol' whackjobs get together and play with each other because nobody else wants to hang out with them.

I mean seriously, only a game made by weirdos would have charisma as a "fantasy trait"
Person 1: Hey man! Me and the gang are gonna hang out in my moms basement for 3-7 hours and play Dungeons & Dragons where we do weird puzzles that require you to do math for some reason. Wanna come with?

Person 2: No.

Dungeons&Dragons-style

Worthless, trashy, ineffective.
The Dungeons&Dragons-style car chase resulted in the death of the alleged thief..

She dresses like Dungeon&Dragons-style and it's not right for Church.

That housing project is so filthy, its a Dungeons&Dragons-style dump.

Original Dungeons & Dragons

The Original Dungeons & Dragons aka OD&D was published in 1974 and it was created first and foremost as a DIY game. Anyone playing BtB is ignoring the many admonishments in the text to take the game and make it you own. BtB players along with their close kin the evil rules lawyers, evil power gamers and and the extremely evil munchkins are anti-DIY and anti-old school and are in fact playing the game in its most limited and least fun form. The game is intended to be a free-wheeling fly by the seat of you pants romp through the multiverse. Anything less is cheating yourself and your players out of the most excellent time they could have been having.

So do not be a evil, cowardly, conniving, whiny weasel BtB/rules lawyer/power-gaming/munchkin. Instead embrace the DIY way and have some real fun. Instead of blindly using railroaded modules, create something original. If you are any good as a referee, then your players will thank you!
Original Dungeons & Dragons is the One True Game and all other games are inferior wimpy imitations.

D&D(Dungeons & Dragons)

D&D(Dungeons & Dragons) now referred to as OD&D(Original Dungeons & Dragons) published in 1974 was originally created by Dave (David Lance) Arneson in his home campaign called Blackmoor in 1971. After Dave Arneson introduced Gary Gygax to the game in 1972, Gygax took Arnesons unique transcendent creative concept and added a few of his own ideas and wrote the game published as D&D(Dungeons & Dragons) now referred to as OD&D(Original Dungeons & Dragons) .

D&D(Dungeons & Dragons)is now referred to as OD&D(Original Dungeons & Dragons) to separate it from all of the later inferior game versions bearing the names D&D and AD&D. The D&D versions referred to as 3.x, 4E and 5E are descended from the AD&D line and not from the original D&D line of games.

OD&D is the best and greatest of all roleplaying games and all other games are cheap inferior knockoffs of the original gem. OD&D is the One True Game.
Tonight instead of Pathfinder, lets play the real D&D(Dungeons & Dragons) , the original 1974 D&D.
