A polyester garment that is worn on the head in order to keep the hair fresh and create waves in the hair. In every color, pattern and style. Also it is a popular trend between everyone and there is always someone wearing one everyone, on the block, tv, etc., especially around African Americans
50 Cent is known for always wearing his du-rag where ever he goes. I like to wear my du-rag in order to be cool.Some ladies love aman in a du-rag In order to get waves you must wear a du-rag.

a bandanna or similar square cloth folded in half to form a triangle (with three points)and worn on ones head similar to a pirate, dead head, or when exercising or cleaning by tying the three points together. Mostly used to catch perspiration during exercise or work.
