Definition:
The act of aggressively mismanaging an
organization, brand, or estate by draining its financial resources and ruining its reputation until it becomes a "hollowed-out shell." It involves spending money on
everything except what actually makes the entity functional, effectively driving the value to zero while still standing at the helm.
The Process:
1. Burn: Spending the
liquid assets on vanity projects or short-term gains.
2. Tarnish: Treating the core mission or the people involved with such "shitty" disregard that the brand name becomes toxic.
3. Donald-Trumped: Leaving behind a worthless entity that exists on paper but has no actual pulse or power.
Examples:
• "That tech startup was Donald-Trumped; the CEO spent the entire Series A funding on a
private jet and office parties until
the company went belly up in six months."
• "They really took a
legendary franchise until it was Donald-Trumped with bad sequels and no budget until the IP was completely worthless."
