Countiverous

To nervously be dependant upon someone else.
Person A is countiverous of person B.

Bob countiverously asks Terry to throw him a rope so he does not fall over the cliff. Terry, Bobs un-coordinated friend, throws the rope into Bob's face and effectively knocks him over the cliff. Bob luckily catches the rope as he is falling and pulls himself to safety.
