classical music

1. Historically, orchestral or chamber music written in northern Europe during the 1700s to 1900s, represented by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovskiy, Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern Schplenden-schlitter... I'll start again.
2. Music derived from those forms of music, represented by people like Philip Glass (and occasionally people like Paul McCartney and Billy Joel).
3. A fad with racist/elitist overtones for parents who want their kids to graduate from nursery school and go straight to college.
4. Music that, despite its apparent pretentiousness and overbearing arrangements, is actually pretty cool when no one's trying to shove it down your throat.

classical music

The best music there is. Far superior to any popular music such as rap, rock, etc. Classical music is real music with real emotion and complexity and grandness of conception. It has been around for hundreds of years and its greatness cannot be denied. It will always be around unlike something stupid like rap, which is so simplistic and for the simple-minded morons. Also, it takes much skill, intelligence, practice, and virtuosity to play classical music, unlike rap, which all you need is a damn ugly voice. Rappers can't even speak proper english anyways.

People who listen to classical music get 2400's on their SAT's and go to Harvard.

People who listen to rap don't even take the SAT and if they do, get 1000 and go to jail.
Great, beautiful, profound, intellectual, virtuostic, etc. etc. etc.: Classical music
Rap: stupid, uncivilized, barbaric, simple, feeble-minded, etc. etc. etc.

Classical music

One of the greatest yet underrated forms of music. Listening to classical music requires patience and an open mind. Those who bash it simply are not able to comprehend the expressive beauty and intricate complexity behind it. It utilizes almost all kinds of musical instruments. The different forms of classical music are symphony, piano sonata, piano concerto, violin sonata, violin concerto, piano quartet, string quartet, string quintet, etc. No other genre has been so effective in utilizing these different arrangements of instruments. The main periods are Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionism, Modern, Contemporary. My personal favorite is the Romantic period with legendary composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, Peter Tchaikovsky, Antonin Dvorak, Franz Liszt, Mussorgsky, and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Unlike pop songs, no single piece of classical music sounds exactly the same. Rather, each piece is unique in the type of instruments used, the mood that is set, and the way beautiful melodies are brought out or expressed. Each piece is a musical journey that the listeners takes which is full of twists and surprises.

classical music

music that came from truly talented people, not just rappers that say a bunch of words really fast about sex and drugs and how cool they are. i like certain rappers that actually have good songs, so im not biased. the only reason people dont appreciate classical music is because they're such simpletons that they cant bear to listen to the inspirational music of geniuses cuz theyre just too dumb and unappreciative and they dont understand what music is. and to those who say classical music has no emotion, take into account that beats and tempo vary depending on the mood. so does the pitch of the notes. so does the key. different keys have different moods. like some are light and airy while others are deep and royal. oh, and the fact that the composers and musicians could express their emotions without words is incredible too. if you took away the words of 50 cent's songs, you would have no emotion whatsoever. and if u added in the words, the only emotion that is expressed is horniness, drugginess, coolness, and violence. so dont tell me that classical music is shit cz so is any1 who cant appreciate it.
cool dude: classical music was the first and truest music, which will always be loved by someone, as opposed to rap which will only last for a few decades cuz MOSt, not all, is suckish.

fuk'd dude: loser.

cool dude: o, so sorry. i gess u think genius multimillionares like myself are losers. love 2 chat, but theres my limo.

Classical Music

A type of music that surpasses all others because it doesn't involve computer generated beats and even more shockingly, no lyrics about bustin' a whitey's ass with lead!

Rap has no true emotion behind it. True composers like Gustav Mahler and Dmitri Shostakovich were intelligent and put real emotion into their music. Rap doesn't have any feeling so it makes you think of nothing while you are listening to it. Classical does contain lyrics in the case of Opera and Church music and if you don’t understand the language, that’s YOUR fault!

The majority of listeners are intelligent people who refuse to listen to Rap because of how bad it sounds. Classical music is still being composed today and has never been better. Some modern composers are Leondard Bernstein and John Rutter.

Everybody knows that Rappers got famous because the majority of moron Americans would rather listen to “Come and lick my lollipop, you ho!” rather than listen to true beautiful emotion classical music.

Anyone can rap:
1: Think of some horrible lyrics about violence, drugs, rape, and misogyny
2: Repeat step 1 six times
3: Invite 5 of ya gang around
4: Give them a microphone and and a synthesizer
5: Give each person a different sheet with random notes
6: Record the result
7: Get some dumbass MTV person to broadcast your shit.

Most movies these days only use classical music a.k.a. real music rather than that fucking rap shit like 8 Mile, the worst movie ever made.

The reason classical is only played during movies nowadays is because:
1: If they played rap, people would die
2: The movie industry is too civilized for Rap.
3: Rap artists like 50 cent have too many hoes to fuck and ain’t got no time to to movie music.

Classical will remain popular whereas in about 10 years rap will go out of style. People have been fans of classical music for centuries!

Classical is not boring. There’s more to classical than slow violin and piano pieces. Have you ever heard Shostakovich? Have you ever heard Mahler? I suggest buying “Shostakovich Symphony No. 4” and tell me what you think!
Non-music: 50 cent, Chingy, Nelly, Ludacris, Ja Rule, The Game, and all that other shit!

Music: Gustav Mahler, Dmitri Shostakovich, Sergei Rachmaninov, Peter Tchaikovsky, Camille Saint-Saens, Johann Bach, Wolfgang Mozart, Ludwig Beethoven, and much more…

Classical Music

As a historical period, it is the period of time between about 1750 and 1815. The beginning of the classical period of music was marked by the death of Johann Sebastian Bach. It is characterized by very simple melody lines over a basic accompaniment, often utilizing motifs and sequencing with strict structure and form applied. The Grand Daddy of the classical era is considered to be Joseph Haydn, who has been given the nickname's "Father of the String Quartet", and "Father of the Symphony". Ludwig van Beethoven is also a prolific composer from this period of music, though Beethoven is given more credit for being the leader of the transition into the Romantic period, due to his odd ways of composition which became noticeable has he lost his hearing.

In general terms, classical is used to characterize music written before what is considered to be the contemporary genre of music, specifically music written before 1915. Suffice it to say that it takes an enormous amount of skill to be a classically trained musician. Listen to the Chopin Scherzo in B-flat Minor, or the Beethoven "Waldstein" Sonata. For more recent "classical", listen to Prokofiev, or even the wonderful Gyorgy Ligeti, who died recently in 2006. Classical music is very much alive and it is the reason we have the music we have today. And don't do what a stupid youtuber did once and tell someone opera sucks, therefore Justin Bieber has more skill than a Soprano soloist singing Mozart operas.
Anything Mozart, anything Haydn, and thousands of other composers, including Beethoven before he was about 30, is considered Classical Music.
