Joey Bada$$

Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, or Joey Bada$$, is a hip hop artist from Bedstuy, Brooklyn, NYC. He is a founder of the succesful Pro Era hip hop group, which he made with his friends in High School. Joey is known for his quality lyrics and his 90's style beats. He also shows a wide range of styles. "Waves" and "Like Me" have a chill feel, whereas "Christ Conscious" and "Sup Preme" are louder and more energetic. In his lyrics, he often raps about issues such as violent youth and "the system". His music is also usually released on Soundcloud through Pro Era, so it is open to everyone!

When two people complete a task together, often one will say the first half and the other will finish the phrase. A dramatic pause may also separate the first and second words of the sentence.

It can also be a derogatory reference to the value of the message where the message is worth less than the sound the message arrival makes.
