You know those times when you're trying to help someone out but they're so amentistic that they can't see basic logic and sense. The kind of people that make you want to slit your abdomen so you don't have to breathe the same air as them. The kind of people who make you feel like you've lost brain cells after talking to them.

Autistic

Descriptive noun form of autism/ASD, a neurodevelopomental disorder that can feature differences in how someone navigates social interactions, and differences on how we experience physical stimuli (also known as Sensory Processing Disorder, or SPD).

Autism isn’t necessarily *characterised* by sensory-regulating behaviours (also called stims), and while body-stims like rocking and flapping are fairly common, they aren’t defining characteristics nor is stimming harmful in any capacity (with minor exceptions). We don’t all approach social situations the same way either. some of us are nonverbal, others hyper-verbal; one autistic might seek physical contact while another might be repulsed by it. What we’re okay with can also vary depending on the situation or how we feel, we’re people.
We aren’t any more monolithic than allistic folks; if you want to know if we’re comfortable with something, ask us.

Don’t get offended if Riley doesn’t make eye contact with you, they’re autistic.

Autistic Self Advocacy Network

An autism organization that promotes respect and acceptance toward autistic individuals. In contrast to many other autism organizations, the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) motivates autistic people to freely express themselves in their own unique ways instead of forcing them to conform with the rest of society. This is the website to go to if you want to support the autistic community in ways that are actually meaningful.

I go to the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) to help out the autistic community. They actually care about autistic people and view autism as a unique condition instead of a disease.

Autistic Like Focus (ALF)

An ability, a keen to a superpower, to focus intensely on a sole task,puzzle, or hobby for extreme and copious amounts of time to reach a conclusion. Often seen in individuals with autism.

Though not autistic, Chuck showed extreme Autistic Like Focus (ALF) for 12 hours trying to solve the rubiks cube.
