A funny way of saying "driving around because you got lost".

My husband wouldn't stop for directions, so we wound up taking an architectural tour of downtown Chicago for 2 hours today.

Taking Grandma to Applebees

When a Grandma and or "Gilf" in your Neighborhood goes down on 3 or more neighbors within a one block radius. She would be "Eating good in the Neighborhood".

Three of my neighbors are "Taking Grandma to Applebees". She sure is "eating good in the neighborhood".

Yuppie take over

When a group of young Urban professionals "and the town council raises taxes systematicly .This is done by putting millions into the school system , then building McMansions everywhere. Property taxes double almost immediately . All the Old timers and lower median income people must sell out .

P1 The Mayor just built himself a McMansion and layed off half the cops
P2 sounds like a Yuppie take over , next they'll tare down the movie theatre and build a book store
P1 is there a law against puching someone with glasses
P2 ofcourse, it's a second degree offense !

Both definitions refer to taking that puppy dog boy (usually) somewhere to be dumped and picked up by someone else, or just lost.
