A person who makes an ass out of themself by saying or doing something edgy or controversial strictly for attention.

"Why does John keep saying Kobe was a better rapper than Tupac?"

"Because he's a try-hard butthole."

Try hard

A Try hard (refering to women) Is exactly that, trying hard to get attention, normally by posting thirst traps if nothing else works. The type of women who try to post a pic showing an object but they are standing infront of it.

They also use the term "pick me" often to insult other women who don't agree with their attention wh*** ways.

They assume other women are "just jealous".

Girl posts a pic trying to show her new shoes/car/dog etc. but is posing in a bikini.

Other girl comments, "you're such a try hard"
Try hard girl : "youre just jealous"

Try-hard (swedish version)

In Sweden, the word is often used to describe someone who puts a lot of effort into school or someone who makes a lot of dribbles while playing a sport for fun. A mean way of saying someone has high ambitions

Common use of Try-hard (swedish version):

- Look at how much Oscar is dribbling.
- Yeah, he’s such a try-hard

- Is Sven actually studying between the lessons?
