The genre combines Haitian Kompa and Beat with French-Creole and sometimes English or spanish lyrics.
Many Diaspo-Rap artists rap about issues affecting their lives such as rough childhoods and difficult living conditions, socio-economy, relationships, immigrations, and poverty.

Worth to mention that he would be the only English speaker of the group at the moment (2018) when the group has become well known globally while other members are trying to improve their language.
