(Noun): Described as careless by many, a Gold is a guy who’s heart and sense of justice is in a good place, but is somewhat perverse and reckless with his actions. Is excellent at gambling and risk taking in general. He is also adept at making plans and executing them on the fly. If you meet a Gold, stick with him through Thick and Thin and he will do the same for you. Is great at relationships and wowing the general public with his actions.

Guy: He’s such a Gold. I feel you and him would be great together!

The gold version is the final version of the software as it will be released to the public. Most or all known bugs prior to release are fixed, and all intended functions for final release are implemented. Media and developers will often use the phrase "gone gold" to announce a software product's impending release.
