Burst Parenting

A parenting method with a mostly negative connotation. The parent ignores the child completely, acting like they don't exist until one small issue arises that is forced upon them by someone else and then the parent bursts into action, usually an over-reaction, until the issue is resolved. Afterwords, returning to their comatose parenting state.

Did you see that woman over-react when that man told her what her child did to him? She must subscribe to the burst parenting method

cart parting

to create a path between two inconsiderate shoppers in a grocery store aisle by emanating nonverbal cues of frustration or impatience. After the cart part, no words need be said as the offenders tend to realize their fault and are likely ashamed.

Ted: Wow, that old lady performed a cart part without having to come to a stop.

Frank: I'm sure she's had many years of practice to have such flawless execution with her cart parting.

Verb. The act of holding one's pet in one's lap while patiently sitting on the toilet and taking care of business. This may or may not be against the pet's will.

Lazy Parenting

When a parent just spanks and punishes their kid rather than putting in an actual effort to TEACH them appropriate behavior, and to *explain* why they should or can't do something rather than just telling them to do or not to do it.
"Because I said so" is used on a daily basis.

Jane: just put him in time out and get it over with

Lisa: No, that's just lazy parenting and teaches nothing.

Mom that is not good at parenting

threatens to beat you, will yell at you if you say "i dont know" but sometimes tells you to say it, looks for things in your room to have a ascuse to scream at you, says they never tell lies (but lie about everything), gets so drunk to the point where they almost sleep with you for a whole night, will loose the things they take away from you and not give a shit about it (can be lost for even 4 months), gives you deppression and axiety but since she "knows everything" she just gives you pills, if you talk back at all she'll treat you like shit (dont forget she reminds you about it everyday), and thats not even a start.
