A target of many stuck-up metal purists who claim the only good music was invented 10-20 years before their time. Seen as illegimate, fake, and popular with mall-core kids. Made it's first debut in early '90s with bands such as Deftones and Korn, then later re-established by newer bands such as System of a Down, Disturbed, Limp Bizkit, etc. Often referred to as "aggro-rock" by offended metal fans who have nothing more to do than insult newer, defining artists in a later and more evolved version of their precious genre.

Nu metal 

One huge reason why today's music is turned rotten to the point of decay.

Weirldly enough, this "music" shares alot of simularies to 70s/80sglam rock and hair metal:
- They are completely mainstream. It takes barely any challenge at all to hit the Billboard. They both use their lack of real talent to

- Annoying vocals. Glam had the ear-spliting torture of yelling and the mediocrity of singing sorrowfully from feminine men while nu metal "artists" do a horrible impression of rapping or use the same method of screaming like their 80s counterpart.

- Lyrics are as deep and complex as a horizontal line. Rather than explaining, listen and find out yourself on how fucking weak the lyrics are- no real meaning, no real work, no real depth; just used to get shitloads of cash and women.

- Completely hated by metal fans so it'll stay far and away from their scene. (Indie Artist for the win!!!)

- They are both fads, FADS. It's just happens that glam was like a nucleur radiation-sensitive bug while nu metal is big, fucking cockroach.

The only contrasts are that:
- Glam/Hair = sex and love; Nu = angst and pity

- Glam/Hair = transvestitial men; Nu = metal noobies and wannabe rappers

- Glam/Hair = making their names to look cute; Nu = misspelling their names in order to look cool

FUCK nu metal and their marketing scheme, why give away money on a highly taled about yet a shitty album so it can be shoved up into the asses of MTV, RIAA and that said nu metal "band"?

Nu Metal 

1)The resulting hybrid of proper old metal bands and contempory talentless losers. The ability to sing or play instruments well is not considered to be an important issue, so long as the frontman (usually a man) can scream loudly and wear halloween masks on stage (most likey as they are ashamed to show their faces because they know their 'music' stinks). The bands themselves are also aware that they lack lyrical talent, and so scream inaudiable words in the hope that no one actually hears their pretentious ramblings regarding suicide and hating the world.

2)Such bands tend to attract an array of 'rebellious' youth, aging between 8 and 15. However, Nu Metal can also be listened to by older people, who sadly failed to outgrow it. Nu Metal tends to be a phase in a person's life that will come to an abrupt end, when it is discovered that ones parents are no longer shocked by its irratingly pretentious content, and/or it is no longer considered 'cool' amongst ones peers.

NU METAL BAND: "FUCK YOU, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU ALL! SLIT MY WRISTS AND THEN SLIT YOUR FUCKING THROAT NEXT! I FUCKING HATE THE WORLD!! *screams*

NU METAL KID: "this is fucking great innit!"

Nu metal is the logical evolution of the metal of the 80's. It is just the classicfication for those groups who couldn't decide between the Backstreet Boys and Metallica so they created a bastardized version of both.

That having been said, nu metal is the logical progression of music, that all those products of the 80's and regressionists out their like to scapegoat because, let's face it, Twisted Sister and Iron Maiden went the way of the dodo and they're still pissed. Here's a newsflash: Alice is gone and Slipknot is here. I don't care if you like it, but deal with it. Go into a dark room, put on your Stryper and leave the people who want to move on with their musical lives alone.

Here's another thought for you, the Eagles fans hated it when Metallica came around. They said it was a perversion of their music. You're just a natural repeat of a needless anger.

Nu metal may not be old metal, but it is here to stay. Move on with your life.

Nu Metal 

This is the newest form of metal.

Much to the dismay of "old" metal fans, this "nu metal" is much accepted by todays culture. Old bands such as Pantera and Slayer had great musical talent, however today's listeners are typically more interested in the cross over of rap with the old sounds of metal. Nu Metal also includes more of an emphasis on the lower chords rather than the high pitched, more complexed chords played by the "original" metal bands. Nu metal music is also are accompanied by yelling and shrill screams, which in most cases should be deemed pointless. Regardless of wether or not you want to consider it "true" metal, this new genre IS here to stay... go, bitch and moan in your closet.

One last thing, you are all going to die while this genreation of music will live on until a next comes along. So why don't all you "haters" go, put on your Slayer albums and cry about how bad your life has become because of nu metal. waaaaah

Nu Metal 

A subgenre of music that was largely popular from 1996 - 2002 mostly. It still has a moderate following as of 2010 though. Bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Clawfinger, Disturbed, Hed PE, Linkin Park, Coal Chamber, and Vanilla Ice can all be considered Nu Metal bands. It has a subculture and the typical clothhing style of said subculture are baggy jeans/shorts, tattoos, piercings, Adidas brand shoes and clothing, skateboarding brand clothes and shoes(Adio, Etnies, DC Shoes, Vans, etc.) and sometimes dyed and/or spiked hair. Traditional Metalheads hate it due to the fact that Nu Metal dosen't have guitar solos and is more angsty thus making them say it is "Un Metal". I personally think it is the greatest genre of Rock/Metal to have ever been made!
