Smut is a mid-genre between dark and hitech psychedelic trance. It is characterised by the typical darkpsy, bottom-end throb-groove, whilst also progressing quickly and constantly amongst a precise array of top-end hat/snare goodness — frothed mostly by the hitech hooligans. It is rare for smut to exist outside of the 156 - 170 BPM prime sex-zone. But, there are exceptions. Precision dirt, perhaps.
