Real Friends

Originated with Andrew and Brandon from Grand Island Nebraska.

"Real Friends" is used to a describe a friendship between two people that completely understand each other. It's the upper echelon of all friendships and is even ranked above the relationship. Keep in mind though that the "real friends" are not gay, it's just that their friendship is so strong that even a heterosexual relationship between a couple cannot compared to the strength of this friendship.
Andrew: Hey man, I told her I loved her but I had to hang out with you on Saturday instead of her

Brandon: Real friends dude, Real Friends

Andrew: You know it!

just friends

Good enough to hang out with but not good enough to fuck (usually due to lack of good looks). A step up is friends with benefits which is good enough to fuck but not good enough to date (usually due to lack of social/economic status).
Ahmed: "You get anywhre with that girl? You must! She was alone at your place all night!"

Ping: "Nah, she'd rather be just friends. Said so herself! I did see that she was wearing a green g-string when she reached over for another glass of the Champagne!"

Safe Friend

–noun
1. A person that is likable in all areas BUT starting any sort of serious relationship with them.

2. Someone you tell all your dark secrets to, bounce ideas off of, or ask for advice in any topic because they're always listening, and there for you when you need them; often thought of as a homosexual - but not.
Female 1: "I've been feeling a lot better since {insert random male name here} and I have been talking... He listens and has such good feedback!"

Female 2: "So your falling for him then?"

Female 1: "Oh gosh, no, not at all! Why would you say that?"

Female 2: "Ahh, I see, he's your safe friend too then. Yeah, I always bounce stuff off of him... good guy... do you think he's gay?"

Female 1: "I don't think so... he asked me out but I just said that it wouldn't feel right and declined..."

Female 2: "Yeah..."

Just a Friend

A kind phrase that is said to end a relationship with another person. However, that person doesn't actually intend to become friends with the person he or she is breaking up with. Another way of perceiving this phrase is: "I'll talk to you today, but I don't intend to see or talk to you ever again."
"I know we've been going out for a couple of months, but I can't see you anything more than Just a Friend."

Friends with Benefits

Friends with benefits can do things couples can do except without being labled as a BOYFRIEND and a GIRLFRIEND, when you ask if they want to be friends with benefits with you, you both have to agree on what those BENEFITS are, and it doesn't have to contain sex. If you both agree on sex, then it's also considered as friends with benefits.
Guy: Want to be friends with benefits?
Girl: Sure, but what are the benefits?
Guy: Hugging, kissing, holding hands.
Girl: No sex?
Guy: Nope
Girl: Okay sure then.

Thats an example of becoming friends with benefits. You can choose the benefits you want! It doesn't mean you have to have sex or oral or anything, as long as you decide the benefits you want and you both agree on it, then its official.
