Get the Sock rockmug. A recent genre of music, mostly found in the independent music scene. This music is so influenced by the classic rock, psychedelic rock, and pop-rock music of the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s, that it's resemblance to its inspiration cannot go unnoticed or uncommented on. Usually including large amounts of reverb throughout each instrument, utilizing the most common instruments used to create a rock band (Vocals, Drums, Bass, Keyboard, Guitar). Essentially, this music sounds as if it was actually recorded decades before it's release.
Have you heard the new Temples record? It's some pretty good nostalgia rock.
Guy 1: That Seattle band, La Luz, is so reverb soaked and inspired by Californian beach music. It sounds like it's from the 60s!
Guy 2: Yeah, they're so nostalgia rock.
