Been a real Book Magpie, bought the entire works of Pratchett, Dostoevsky, Christie, and Marx, to fill my bookshelf up.

Comic Book

A short 22-44 page book with art panels and speech bubbles, usually with superheroines and such. Usually separated into many individual issues and then collected into trade paperbacks when the stories are done.

Despite what the other descriptions say they are not incredibly sexist or misogynistic.

Comic books have been around for a long time but really started to be known in 1938 with Action Comics #1, or the first appearance of Superman. Since then comic books have been expanding and growing through different companies and brands.

You can find comics at your LCS (Local Comic Store), most of the time the people will be helpful and happy to help you find what you want. Support your local LCS everybody!

Man: Yo! Did you get any new comic books last Wednesday?

Friend: Hell yeah I did! I never miss comic book Wednesday.

Book Hangover

Getting so emotionally invested in a book that you think about it for days on end. Characterized by sadness experienced when the book is over and the realization that one will never have the opportunity to feel the way they did reading it for the first time.

I finished reading the last Jhumpa Lahiri novel and have the worst book hangover.

Burning of the books

After a long hard school year of wanting to beat the shit out of your fellow classmates and fuck the female students and teachers you get to relax at night after the last day of school at a nice bonfire where you burn all your school books along with the hatred memories with a couple of friends obviously no black lives matter activists aloud and have fun
