Running Back

A position in Grid Iron (or American Football) who lines up directly behind the Quarterback. The Quarterback can hand the ball off to the Running Back or "Sweep" (footy pass) it to the player. The Running Back then tries to rush the ball upfield and score.

Quarterback: What's the play Coach?
Coach: Send the Running Back up the guts and make first down
