Stasis index

A measure of unmerited popularity of a new band. It is defined by the following formula:

# of fans * # of tee-shirts sold / (# of shows played * # of songs recorded)

The greater the Stasis Index, the greater the unmerited popularity. It is named after the technical melodic post-indie-core progressive rock band Stasis, from Boxford , MA, whose Stasis index is undefined.
