Coffee ambassador

Usually not a barista but office staff with to much extracurricular activities who follow all available coffee training rather than doing the work they were hired to do. After becoming coffee ambassador they will spend even less time working. It was intended for promoting coffee but usually these coffee ambassadors feel that they are better than anybody else. They are the kind of person that will tell somebody who drinks gourmet coffee that they are wrong because it is not roasted the Starbucks way or to tell a barista that he or she is doing his or her work the wrong way. Usually wears blinders and can not see things any other way than their own way. Despised by people who make coffee for a living and consider a parasite and a coffee tourist rather than a professional

The coffee ambassador refused to admit to the gourmet coffee drinker that there are coffees that taste better that Starbucks coffee. She even defended the taste of Pike Place roast without ever drinking it herself.

Any replacement for coffee. Energy drinks are commonly used as a coffee substitute. Tea can be a coffee substitute for some people, as well as caffeine tablets.

Person #1: "Do you still drink coffee?"

Person #2: "Come to think of it, not as much. I am using energy drinks much more often as a coffee substitute."

Coffee fairy

That anonymous individual who starts the office coffee machine in the morning, but at an hour so early as to avoid ever being observed doing so by co-workers. To everyone else, the result is a fresh pot of coffee that seemingly appears out of nowhere, as though it was prepared by fairies.

My mother always goes the lab early to prep the skin grafts for culturing and usually puts on a pot of coffee while she's there. One morning, a co-worker from clinical trials had to come in early as well, walked into the kitchen as she was scooping the grounds into the filter, and gasped in pleasant surprise, "It's you! You're the coffee fairy!"

Caffeine Deficiency Syndrome

A common condition in which one does dot have enough caffeine in their system to operate normally. Symptoms include drowsiness, staring at walls, and an inability to tolerate other people, often accompanied by a headache. The only known cure is more caffeine.

George- "What's up with Steve today? He was staring at the wall, and the second I tried to talk to him, he freaked out and told me to go away!"

Tom- "I'm afraid he's got Caffeine Deficiency Syndrome. I'll go grab him a coffee."
