An individual “recreationally” using a high dose of the
drug Xanax (Alprazolam). Such people are unable to form coherent sentences, speak at inappropriate volume, and fail to remember a conversation lasting more than five seconds. Motor coordination, memory, and emotional control are completely absent.
Xanax is often is sold in the shape of a rectangular tablet, known as “bars”. The profound mental stupor this
drug induces at high doses, combined with the form factor yield the term “bartard”.
Common scenarios for bartards include: Making life-ruining decisions with
casual indifference, waking up in jail, overdosing, stealing random things from retail stores, waking up with food in their
bed, catching STDs/STIs, “losing” their pills after blacking out and eating all of them.
Kyle used to be
fun to party with, but ever since he became a
full-time bartard I’ve been
ghosting him. Last time I invited him over, he punched a hole in my wall and then threw glass bottles off my balcony.
