band aid station small local hospital, typically infers sub-standard care. Often used by healthcare professionals at large, cutting-edge hospitals. So named because they are only capable of basic first-aid such as applying Band-Aids.

Pop/rock band started in 1976 fronted by Greg kihn known for their hit single "the breakup song (they don't write em) from the 1980s the band is still together after all these years!

I saw Greg kihn band at Berkeley amphitheatre a few years ago. They're great!
