An individual that inundates an Instagram feed with multiple photos in a row. Typically seen during a large event, trip away from home, or after the birth of a child.

"Thanks for the Instablam Kevin, hope you had a great vacation..."
"I just got Instablammed by Kevin! Hopefully that band won't play an encore."

An instavention is an orchestrated attempt by one or many people – usually family and friends – to get someone to seek professional help with an addiction to posting / and or liking to many photos on Instagram.

"My facebook news feed just informed me a friend liked 37 photo's on Instagram.. She needs an Instavention ASAP"

instagram apology

The act of making a shallow, public apology on the internet via social media (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc.) rather than performing actions that would resolve the issue at hand.

The origin of the definition arose when Macklemore Instagramed his apology text to Kendrick Lamar stating that Lamar "got robbed" after he won Best Rap Album at the Grammys late January 2014.

"Mr. President, the people demand that you respond regarding the NSA leaks!"

"Don't worry, just send out an Instagram Apology and it will go away in a few weeks."

"Or we could... you know, stop spying on people?"

"What kind of option is that?
