Merp (adjective/exclamation): A playful term used to describe someone or something behaving in an endearingly absentminded, clumsy, or humorous way. Often said with affection or mild exasperation, adding a lighthearted tone to the moment.
"Listen, merp, it's right here on the counter!" or, "Oh, merpo derpo, you're holding your phone upside down."

The sound you make when something does not go your way; however, it can also be used interchangeably when something goes incredibly right for you. In other words, it is a good replacement for the taboo swear words people cringe at today.

An evolved greeting deriving from a strange not-quite-meow of a kitten. Since first being introduced, "Merp" is now an acceptable word to use as much as possible, to confuse non-merpers and to connect with the crazy cat community, and is slowly being used more often in everyday life.
Can also be used as an adverb (Merpy), a noun (e.g. silly Merp!) or verb (She was Merping)
