Latin America includes South America, Central America, and the 3 Hispanic-Caribbean Islands: Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic. ONLY people from Latin America are Latinos. Spaniards, Italians, and Portugues are NOT latino whatsoever. their languages are latin-derived, but they are not part of latin america, therefore, they are not latinos. the word Latino does NOT mean descendent of the latins from the roman empire; it literally means people from Latin America.
