The word facetious is used exclusively by arts students to describe someone being sarcastic.

Its generally said with a smug voice to make the person feel insignificant.

John: I think global warm in is a hoax. Look how cold it is outside!

Sally: John quit being so facetious.

John: Shut the fuck up Sally and keep managing McDonalds.

facetech

Facetech is a primitive method to communicate without SMS, VoIP, email or IM, in other words, just using verbal/sign face-to-face language. This method of communication is sometimes avoided as there's no logging of conversation so nothing to go back to on Monday morning when everything has been forgotten.

John: Bob isn't answering his email, I've tried texting and skype but he's not replying

a more compact word for facetiousness. used only by pretentious intellectuals who make up words that sound good but don't exist according to the dictionary, and ironicists that mock the aforementioned pretentious intellectuals, but only because they used the word, looked it up and saw it did not exist, and redacted it to save their ass.

Dude, I was buried in my blackberry and accidentally knocked over a three year old. Needless to say, but her dad punched me square in the mouth for "public facetox"!
