To "star six" something is to finish or get rid of it. It is in reference to a sequence of buttons required by many voicemail systems to delete a message without having to listen to its full duration.

Brendan poured a glass of vodka and star sixed it quickly.

"I think I'll stop by the party at your place later, but I have to star six some business at work first."

Big Star

A rock band from the United States, who started playing in 1971. The original members were Alex Chilton, Chris Bells, Jody Stephens and Andy Hummels. Unfortunately, their albums/records did not sell much (although they were praised by reviewers), which led to some tensions in the band. As a result, the group disbanded in 1974

However, the group was reformed in 1993 with Alex Chilton, Jody Stephens, Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow, and is active at present

Their music has been acknowledged by many other artists and bands to be an inspiration for their own work, for example R.E.M, Teenage Fanclub, The Replacements and Primal Scream. However, it is not very well known by the general public, which is quite sad, considering their music is extremely nice and awesome

star power ready

In PlayStation2's GUITAR HERO, star power is ready after your meter has reached a certain level, allowing a bonus multipler until your star power runs out. This is activated by the words "STAR POWER READY!" cueing you to sweep your guitar vertically in typical rocker style, or you can wuss out and press select for the same effect.

In real life, a person will get ballsy after realizing or hearing from his buddies that if he's "star power ready"...carpe diem, rock star! Bonus confidence and self esteem!

Guy: There goes Melissa, man I've wanted to hit that for years!
Dude: Star power ready, homeslice.
Guy: Dude...I'm totally gonna go for it this time. My star power IS ready!!!
Dude: You rock!
