An Italian word pronounced (boo-sta) that literally means "envelope" but is used informally/casually to refer to a "donation" or "gift" especially when given in times of grief, disaster or hard times often anonymously.

Papa left a generous "busta" at the funeral to help the grieving widow and her family with expenses.
