Bingo Spoon

A bingo spoon is an oversized party spoon given away as a prize during psychedelic trips. It has all of the best properties a spoon can have (smooth, comfortable handle, etc). Bingo spoons also appear in the wild. For instance, the cow on the cover of Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream is holding a bingo spoon.

I won a bingo spoon at the New Year’s Eve party and built a custom wall mount to display it in my kitchen. Ahh, memories.

spoon of Diocles

An ancient Greco-Roman surgical instrument described by the Roman encyclopedist Celsus (1st century CE) and attributed to the Greek physician Diocles of Carystus (4th century BCE). Its intended purpose was to safely extract barbed arrowheads through the original entry wound without causing additional tearing of soft tissues. It was designed to be inserted alongside the arrow, rotated so the arrowhead fits into the hole, and then withdrawn with the arrow enclosed.

A 22 cm metal tool found in the Domus del Chirurgo (Rimini, Italy) is considered by archaeologists to be one of the only physical examples.

Some historians believe that the physician of king Philip II of Macedon used a spoon of Diocles to successfully remove an arrow from the king's eye without disfiguring him.

Slings And Spoons

A game where a wheel is spun with two options: slings, and spoons. If the wheel lands on slings then ur testicles will be surgically removed and then slung onto ur face. If it lands in your mouth you must eat it, if it hits your eye your eye is replaced with your testicle. If the wheel lands on spoon then ur testicles are violently carved out with just a regular spoon and then force fed to you.
