black-barred

Used primarily in gaming terminology. Refers to the amount of "health" a character has left. Often health shows up as a red or green bar on the screen, as the health diminishes the bar becomes black. The term "black-barred" is used when an individual has so little health remaining that no red or green may be seen, simply the black bar that has replaced it. Generally used as an expression of emergency.
I need a healer, I am black-barred!

I can't fight that guy while I am black-barred.

I hit that guy so many times, he must be black-barred.

bar shuffle

A bar shuffle is a solution to the common problem of when there are two non adjacent empty bar stools. It is when someone moves to an adjacent empty seat at a bar in order to allow for the two empty seats to be together so two people can sit next to each other. Sometimes the bartender will ask people to perform the bar shuffle, and other times a kind patron may offer.
Excuse me, do you mind doing a bar shuffle so these two people can sit next to each other?

Do you guys want to sit? Let me bar shuffle to the seat next to me so there’s room for both of you.

bar flu

Another name for a hangover. Works very nicely when you have been out drinking until 2am and have to call in sick for work the next day. You can simply say you have "the flu". You can leave out the "bar" part.

Example: Warner: "sorry, mike. I can't come to work today"

Mike: "ok"

Mike: "Josh, Warner called in sick...says she has

the flu"

Josh: "Yeah....BAR flu."
Warner: "sorry, mike. I can't come to work today"
Mike: "ok"
Mike: "Josh, Warner called in sick...says she has

the flu"
Josh: "Yeah....BAR flu."
