A phrase people can add before saying something nitpicky, like correcting you on some inconsequential fact.
Often secretly means, "I love to be that guy", since the kind of people who say it get a little thrill from correcting others and being pedantic.

That sarcastic definition that surprisingly no one has made.
When you're doing something that's shitty or annoying as fuck and no one wants to stop you, because we live in 2021 and everyone is lazy.

Get the Be that guy mug.Any fictional character of African-American descent that has been inconsequently inserted into the plot a movie or TV show for the express purposes of creating an image of commercially safe, politically correct, and insipid racial harmony. In eras gone by the token black guys would be the first characters to be killed off. This phenomena of commercial cinema and television that would sacrifice the quality of their storytelling for the sake of attempting the impossible act of offending absolutely nobody, is succinctly satirized by the aptly named south park character, Token.
Token from south park, Charley in the TV show Friends.
Any black character in any movie that is neither the protagonist nor antagonist, is unimportant to the plot and does not significantly contribute to it, preferably dies before the end, usually does not end up with the girl. sometimes is the sidekick if the role is unimportant enough, and is very often comic relief (often in stereotype-enforcing manner).

Get the token black guy mug.A very challenging (To the point of insane frustration) freeware video game made by Kaiyan. The idea is you take the place of "The Kid" and travel through worlds to kill and claim the title of "The Guy." The game uses a metroidvania style map, as in you can freely travel up, left, down, and right to explore a giant map while the game play can be described as Megaman-esque (You are able to jump and shoot..that is just about it). Most of the areas, bosses, and music are borrowed from classic video games such as Tetris, Mario, Street Fighter, and even Metal Gear. It should be noted once again that the game is frustratingly hard but is also a lot of fun if you happen to enjoy old video games. Google "I wanna be the guy" and click on the first link to download it. Note: There are harder games out there, probably the worst I've played was the Super Mario Bros. hack named "Super Mario Forever" not recommended..not fun.
