A website that encourages its users to "Broadcast Yourself," and allows people to upload videos of nearly anything. Though it was announced in October 2006 that the site was going to be taken over by Google, the REAL takeover is already occuring, under the radar, by the following groups:
1.) Overcaffeinated fifteen-year-olds with camcorders, Windows Movie Maker, and way, way too much free time.
2.) Anime fanatics who believe that virtually every song sounds better when remixed with completely random clips from their favorite episode of Naruto.

Fantastic website for viewing videos it is loved by all the world. Except Viacom they hate it for some reason....
Watch and enjoy the videos on youtube but remember, no matter how much you want to, NEVER read the comments people have made. Especially those on videos that have a political connection i.e. Iraq. It may start of as an informed discussion but the comments will soon boil down to 1 of 3 basic premises.
1. 'We won world war 2 you Hitler appeasing bastard'
2. 'I suppose you would rather Saddam Hussein was still in power'
3. 'Thats typical conservative/liberal distortion of facts'
All served up with a healthy dose of abuse and words like 'bitch' 'whiny' and for some reason 'faggot' seems to be a very popular word.
Seriously it can happen on the most innocent of videos such as one for Cat Stevens, a singer who converted to Islam (uh oh), and then changed his name to Yusef Islam. I think you can see how that one got off topic!
Videos = good , comments = bad

The world's largest video website, infested by 13 year old girls who are obsessed with Edward Cullen and the Jonas Brothers, random racists and people who have nothing better to do other than post offensive comments to piss people off, and religious fanatics who are convinced that they can convert the aforementioned adolescent fangirls and morons. A minority among the Youtube community is the normal honest people who just want to listen to music and see some funny videos without seeing a bunch of morons arguing about Twilight and Christianity.
I went on Youtube to listen to music. In the middle of the song, I checked out the comments and found a bunch of illiterate morons arguing about nothing in particular.
