Texas Southern University

An HBCU in Houston, Texas. Its origins can be traced to Heman Sweatt, an African-American who applied to the University of Texas Law School in the 1940's. The university did not admit blacks. Rather than admit him, the state of Texas created an entire university and law school for blacks, which eventually came to be known as Texas Southern University and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

I'll be attending Texas Southern University in the Fall.

a slang term for Bergen Community college in Paramus, NJ.
Commonly used when others are naming their college, so the attending student can get by without using the phrase "community college".

Student 1: I'm going to the University of North Carolina
Student 2: I'm going to the University of Southern California
Student 3: I'm going to the University of Southern Paramus
Student 4: I'm going to the University of Delaware.

Southern Ohio Copperheads

A sweet baseball team in Athens, Ohio. Their home field is Bob Wren Stadium on the campus of Ohio University. A member of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, and always leads the league in attendance. On the field, the team is improving under Coach Mike Florak.

The Southern Ohio Copperheads are going to win the Great Lakes league this year!
