Predicting an uncommon near future event correctly without any prior knowledge to the situation. Typically a guess for something that could happen. Very popular in Eastern Massachusetts.

"I bet the next car we see pull around that corner will be a red Honda."

Sniper Shot or Snipe refers to a situation wherein an individual purchases a shot of alcohol for another individual, usually a friend, who has consumed too much alcohol and evidently does not need another drink. The gift is given with evil intentions and is given in an attempt to incapacitate the target, influence bad decisions, and/or create amusement (Definition from the S.Crew™ Dictionary)

The shot is often presented by itself without the sniper taking a shot with the target however this isn't always the case. The target is often too drunk to realize he is being sniped and cheerfully drinks the free shot pushing him over the line into pure blackout bliss. To shoot at someone but not actually knowing if the shots are hitting the intended person.
