She feeds vampire-like upon the hatred she creates, lying to gullible family and friends... targeting good people in her life who won't tolerate her bullshit anymore.
Denise was a nice kid once. But her path of self-destruction, multiple-substance abuse, and frequent cry-for-help (and occasionally genuine) suicide attempts, ultimately wore out her closest loved ones.
When an adolescent, her older brother Robert frequently beat the hell out of her, while their oblivious British parents were preoccupied with their own narcissistic career building. Focused only upon ultra-wealthy and hip celebrities whom they orbited in vain attempts to pose as upper-class, they adopted fake high-society accents and mannerisms. But their true gutter origins were blatant and they fooled no one, not even their ignored-but-deviant son.
Robert, now a horny teen, poured his sick, sexual lust and incest onto the regular beatings that he gave to his poor younger sister, Denise. Her doom was sealed when he violated her.
Denise is a borderline personality, flickering between darkness and light. But an emotional vampire like Denise is also a victim. Wasn't she herself bitten by the original Head Vampire?
Denise violently hates and smashes any "mirrors" that she encounters -- truthful, caring people who see her clearly and reflect her fractured self-image back. She recoils like Dracula before a crucifix.
