Courtesy Clap

the act of clapping because you feel bad for the person(s) you are clapping for. It starts out sounding like a slow clap.

Guy 1: did you go to the convention center to see the glue presentation?

Guy 2: Yeah, but there wasn't alot of people in the seats, and the ones who clapped gave a courtesy clap.

This sort of clapping is seen at churches, schools, business meetings, etc.

2) When you get someones number and you text them for like a week and then just stop, so your not the jerk that "didnt text me"
