The overwhelming feeling of despair felt by someone who has escaped from New York upon returning. Usually felt within the first hours of arrival or with the sight of specific landmarks.
Felt most commonly by those from downstate NY with family or business ties that keep them coming back.

Coworker: I hear you moved to West Virginia, nothing but hicks out there right?
Me: No, it's actually quite advanced outside of the worst of the hollers.
Coworker: But do you ever miss home?
Me: Already do since I drove out 19 hours ago.
Coworker: Wow, you've got the New York Blues!

An extremely short period of time; a few seconds; the time it takes for "everything to change" or "things to get pretty strange" for a New Yorker.
Song "New York Minute" by DON HENLEY recording as a SOLO ARTIST and not as a MEMBER OF *THE EAGLES* as some have suggested.

Often shortened to: NYHH. A competition wherein multiple whammen fit larger and larger hoagies into their front hole (the scientifically correct term for pussy). The sport was original invented in New York in 1873, it is now a staple in competitions taking place in Sweden. As of 2018, NYHH is not an olympic sport, but Sweden is petitioning for it to be added.

It is a situation in which a student attending York University, in Toronto Canada, is failed as a whole or in part whether administratively, systematically, and/or procedurally. Provided little to no support from individuals that operate and/or are part of the York institution and/or it's affiliates such as, but not limited to departments, student unions, organizations, and so on. Being Yorked/York'd ultimately places those affected in extremely stressful, mentally demanding, heart wrenching situations that can result in experiences, not limited to, moments that alter the course of a students' academic pursuits, life, and well-being.
Getting Yorked/York'd is defined as:
Jack spent hours on the phone trying to contact York departments to asking a specific question, but no one seems to be able to answer the phone or the question. Finally Jack commutes anywhere from 1hr-2hrs 30mins to York (depending on where Jack lives in the GTA) to ask the question, and Jack finally got an answer from a receptionists. What a waste of time. All these people, and not one person could help, Jack got York’d.
Jill tried to contact many departments and waited months before hearing back, although Jill made the effort of emailing, calling, and showing up in-person. The academic year is nearly complete, Jill struggled and nearly failed all their classes, Jill got Yorked.
Jill is one semester away from graduation and Jill's Academic Advisor emails them to tell them they're missing a class required to graduate, but Jill had bi-weekly appointments with them for the last 4 years and they never flagged it. Jill is now ineligible to graduate, Jill got Yorked.
Jack's OSAP has not come in due to administrative backlog and Bennett Centre for Student Services tell Jack that unfortunately they will be charging Jack's student account interest on the tuition Jack owes until it comes in, Jack got Yorked.
Jill notifies York University that there is a cockroach and black mold infestation in the student housing units, but being ignored and/or told there is not and being forced to continue living in those conditions, Jill got York'd.
