The Cool Plague happened a long time ago - it is also known as the birth of Swagger. Before Christ, there was a massive sickness that caused thousands of people to be unbelievably awesome and cool. The infected were known as the 'Ill ridden.' The sickness was preserved until an accidental outbreak of a tampered Cool Plague infection in 1518 which caused the Dancing Plague. Those who inherit this infection are also 'Ill ridden'

global cooling

Something that happened during the 1970's due to humans spewing aerosols into the atmosphere. Once we stopped spewing aerosols into the atmosphere, global cooling stopped, thus proving that human society CAN affect global climate. The concern over global cooling was exaggerated by Newsweek in the 1970's and as a result many conservatives completely distort the issue in order to attack the current scientific consensus on global warming.

That they do this based on a Newsweek article is bizarre considering that most of the time they complain about how the mainstream media distorts the news. Of course, in this instance Newsweek just so happened to NOT be distorting the news for some reason. At least according to many conservatives.

I'm sick and tired of hearing right-wing talk radio show hosts continuing to distort the global cooling of the 1970's.

A phrase, used to indicate being pleased about something, accepting something, agreeing with something, also ending convosations and a phrase that can be used when there isnt really anything else to say, saves it from being arquard. Also used as a state of emotion; Happieness, feeling alright, being cool (but a slightly geekyer version of cool) being gernerally ok, or feeling shit and not wanting to say because you know it will start a big convosation on the topic. Copyright, to Lucy Wright, created the phrase 'Cool Beans.'
