This adjective is a variation of the word “booted” which means very high or drunk; fucked up.
However the addition of the “Z” to replace “B” signifies a specific type of high caused by sedative, prescription medications.
The Z’s you catch from sleeping and certain names of said medications pair together well in linguistic terms— “xanned out,” “zooted off them xannies”
