Nirvana

Nirvana is the greatest fucking band of all time ! You CANNOT compare them to Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, or Metallica. If you do, you clearly are RETARDED. It is a completely different kind of music, grunge. It mostly expresses teen angst. Kurt Cobain (R.I.P) supposedly commited suicide, sadly, but I personally believe he was murdered by his fucking wife (Courtney Love). Just read the last for lines of his suicide note ! WTF !?!? The handwriting changes and so doesn't the mood of the letter !!

Although Nirvana's message was that they didn't want to be used just to make money. If you've barely heard any songs by them, get your ass to the store and buy the album simply titled Nirvana. It'll give you a taste of their music and if you like it, go and buy their fucking awesome albums.

A criminally overrated band fronted by Kurt Cobain. Though some good came of the band and the associated grunge scene (the destruction of Poison and Ratt), the negative effects were far more pronounced. Real metal was dealt a crippling blow as well, and depressing heroin rock was able to dominate thereafter. Though grunge died in 1995 with Cobain, the effects of Nirvana's "whiney generation" revolution are still being felt today. Nu-metal and mallcore filled in the vacuum left by heavy metal, mimicing the simple chord progressions and detuned guitars that were present in the grunge movement. Post-grunge rock, which has blossomed into many lackluster subgenres, still bears the simplicity and downcast attitude, as well as the whiney vox of the grunge movement.

great band they had simplicity in their music and didnt need and computerized crap like linkin park and limp bizkit. Nirvana and other seatlle grunge bands gave us a few years of good music and then it gradually turned to mainstream stuff which is all about looks and who appears the most "ghetto"

Nirvana

1. The Ronald Reagan of rock music. I.e. people believe they killed hair metal, just like how Reagan "defeated" the Soviet Union. Both, however, were destroyed from the inside.

2. Shitty band. Just absolutely terrible. Worshipped (for some unidentifiable reason) by a lot of "hardcore" and "anti-establishment" fags who think that Nirvana was a religion and Cobain a god. Their songs are terrible, overplayed, dryly repetitive, poorly written, played and sung.

3. The reason why Dave Grohl has a "rock career."

1. Retards like Nirvana because they give them credit for "destroying" hair metal, but intelligent people know better.

2. Nirvana would never be considered a "Great Band" if Cobain hadn't killed himself. If they were still around, they'd be playing dumpy clubs for drug money, while getting some pocket money blowing guys outside aforementioned clubs.

3. If it weren't for Nirvana, we wouldn't have Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters. Just imagine how much better life would be without that untalented poser screaming into a microphone "THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST... etc"

Nirvana

Nirvana was a very popular band. They specialized in Grunge rock, with Kurt Cobain on vocals. Kurt Cobain formed the band when he was a teen, where he found himself sleeping under a bridge most of his nights. It was under that bridge the first Nirvana songs where born.
Nirvana wrote several popular songs. After Kurts suicide, the other band members formed "The Foo Fighters."
