Hugging someone, namely a date in halfassed way as to tell them they are not interested in another date or possibly ever seeing that person again.

Once in the parking lot she gave him a homeless guy hug because she wanted the date to be over quickly.

Many people have this defintion of a hopeless romantic all wrong....A hopeless romantic is NOT someone who cant get anyone and they die lonely. It is someone who is truly in love with true love. They will do anything to be with the person they love. They believe in the idea that there is only ONE person out there for you. They like to be adventurous and spontaneous with this person.

Hopeless Romantic really reminds me of movies like Serindipity, where they find little signs that they are meant to be together

Any individual who expresses an exorbitant amount of sympathy for the poor and unemployed, thus advocating greater public spending through excessive tax levying. These people are often repelled by deodorant and own many pairs of sandals. They also tend to work at vegan and hemp shops, or any other place where Che Guevara is idolized.
