rock paper scissors

A strategic game played between two people. The choices are rock, paper or scissors gesture with the hand. Paper covers rock, rock crushes scissors, scissors cuts paper.

Q:"Who's going to pay for lunch?"
A:"We'll rock paper scissors to decide."

The both count to three and simultaneously shape their hands into a rock ( closed fist ), paper ( open hand, palm down ) or scissors ( like a sideways peace sign ).

If there is a tie, they go again.

good scissors 

The sharpest, most expensive pair of scissors one has in the household. Used for more revered activities such as cutting hair, or wrapping gifts. Not the crappy blunt ones, the other ones.

'Has anyone seen the good scissors?'
'They're in the top drawer.'
'Nah, these are the normal scissors, I can't trim my nose hair with these, they're blunt as all hell.'

cajun rock paper scissors 

Rock paper scissors in which both participants keep one uncovered arm out and then play rock paper scissors like normal. The winner of each round gets to slap the loser's arm once at the end of each round. Repeat ad infinitum.

Man I can't believe my left arm is still bleeding from all that cajun rock paper scissors yesterday.
