Racial Violence

Racial violence in the form of harassment and assault is a type of abuse intended to threaten, injure, or end the lives of Black, Indigenous, and people of color. Racial violence typically shows up as verbal, physical, or property violence, as well as acts of terror toward communities of color.

Racial Microaggression

Racial microaggressions are derogatory messages that Black, Indigenous, and people of color continuously receive about our racial identities. They can manifest as verbal and nonverbal abuse, and they come in the form of insults, criticism, eye-rolling, ignoring, and other forms of hostility. They reflect all the ways in which people have been conditioned to negatively view Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

This is a typically a hailarious and stereotypical name to address a certain ethnicity. But be careful who you say it in front of, it can be very offensive.

Jorge, "wow there's so many different kinds of latinos."
Jimmy, "ehh, they're all beaners."
Jorge, "Thats actually my fav racial slur."

Commonly confused to mean "a society one generation removed from an era of prevalent racism", it is in fact a reference to the newly developed ability of racists to "post" their perennial screeds on the Internet through the use of blogs and message boards.

It is no surprise that since the election, nut jobs have come out of the wood work on to their computers to post-racial rants against Obama.

the action of marrying, dating or forming a sexual relationship with a person who is lighter than you or has more non- black ancestry in their background because you view their proximity to whiteness as a form of social status.

The act of blogging racist statements without feeling guilty. Or a type of blog that makes racist statements while trying to be ironic, and failing miserably. Often preceded with the statement, "I'm not trying to be racist but..."

Did you see that post-racial tumblr picture of those high school students posing with slanty eyes? I'm not trying to be racist, but I totally reblogged it with a gif of a someone pretending to eat a cat.
