Rich Watching

A phrase used to describe when low class or working class people watch Youtube/Instagram/TikTok stars and envy their rich lifestyles, not realizing that most of those stars came from wealth and had better opportunities because of nepotism. The idea of "becoming rich" doesn't exist in modern times, but "rich watching" has replaced this to make it easier for low and working class people to swallow reality.

"Did you see that new trend on Tiktok?"
"No, sorry, I don't like Rich Watching."

"Huh?"
"I'm not a fan of watching rich people live their rich lives. I need to focus on my own goals."

So, why should we focus on one disparity over the other? If the richest people are doing THE OPPOSITE of what you said and instead of 'doing half ways intelligent things with the money'and are, instead, shooting the money into space... Why shouldn't we just fix that first?"
