Jersey Left

The act of turning left when the light turns green in front of oncoming traffic, even though in no state in the US does anybody EVER have the right of way in this instance. AKA-another East Coast piss poor driving move.

Dude 1: "A jack-hole cut me off on the way to work this morning trying to pull a Jersey Left."

Dude 2: "Damn people can't drive for crap around here."

New Jersey

A state on the East Coast near New York City and Philadelphia. First off (this goes for all you New Yorkers), we are not called fucking JOIISEEYY. No not all of New Jersey looks like the Meadowlands. We have rich suburbs in Bergen County like Ridgewood, Woodcliff Lake, and Saddle River but we also have really ghetto places like Newark, Paterson, and Trenton. It is home to whites, latinos, blacks, and asians with no race really having a majority. Also, the Jersey Shore is nothing like the idiotic MTV show, and they're actually some of the funnest beaches around. New Yorkers think they're better because they're more "cultured" and "sophisitcated" while they live in 1 bedroom apartments and have never even been to New Jersey. No we are not all guidos and only some of us are even Italian. Every kid here gets a car at 17 and even though we have shitty weather at times, it is better than the boring ass weather in Seattle and LA.

New Yorker: Oh my gawd all those people from Joisy are so stupid and crazy, just like The Sitch, and Ron and Sam.

New Jerseyan: Um no actually no one is like that and I'm not even Italian. By the away is everyone from New York ugly and a bad driver?

New Jersey is the "garden state", where the fuck are the gardens??? If you live on the border of New York/New Jersey and you can operate a car, you are FUCKED ! A) A shit load of frebreeze
B) A few buildings taller than 100 ft.

Stereotypical accent that is thought to hail from New Jersey.
This is only believed to be the New Jersey accent from those who don't live in/around the state.

Examples of this accent:

Jersey - Joisey
Daughter - dawda/dawter
dog - dawg
coffee - cawfee
water - wawder
talk - tawk
ect.

This accent does exist in people from other areas of the country,

however if you use it in front of someone from Jersey they may secretly hate you.

Person one: Where are you from?
Person two: oh North Jersey.
Person one: So you're from Joisey then?

Person two: ...
Person one: ...
Person two: That's not a New Jersey accent.... Go fuck yourself.
