A temperate adjustment pour: the act of adding a small amount of liquid to a beverage in order to adjust its temperature. This can involve pouring hot liquid into a cooling beverage, like adding hot coffee to a cup that has gone cold, or adding chilled liquid to a warming beverage, such as topping off a glass of wine to restore its coolness.
