Guy1: Jennifer goes by her own name, as well as Katherine, Snowflake, and is still choosing!
Guy2: Isn't that a bit much?
Guy1: Of course not! They can go by anything that makes them comfortable. People also find it comforting and fun to identify or go by multiple names!
Guy2: Is there a general word for this?
Guy1: Yes! It's called being a polynym.

(n) A person with a small amount of knowledge about a large number of subjects. Relates to a polymath (a person with a large amount of knowledge about a large number of subjects) in the same way that basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, etc.) relates to mathematics (these and everything else in the field).

That guy thinks he knows a lot, but he's a polyarithmetic - two or three facts and he's done.
