Winedick

Proper noun. Winedicks are a individuals that combine all the degenerate qualities of acting like a 'dick' or a 'douche' (exhibiting a high level of brashness and insensitive to others, all the while putting your own interests above all else) and having a the need to proclaim their superior wine knowledge to anyone within earshot. These are people who are incapable of getting a normal glass of wine at a restaurant but opt for something uncommon given they can use that as a vehicle to tout . They will be condescending and rude with the sommelier at even to most high-end establishment. Generally unpleasant in this wine ordering circumstance.

"Ugh when it came time to order the wine Jean-Luc took the menu from the sommelier and proceeded to tell HIM what was good. He spent a whole 20 minutes talking about the terroir and how due to the humidity in the valley it made for less tannins or some bullshit. By that point I was so dejected I was contemplating trying to swallow a fork to end it."

"Absolutely! Plus to top it all off, he's French to boot."
