Everyone who has critical thinking skills (including normal vegans who leave people alone) hates her. She's known for being a hypocrite and abusing/neglecting her poor dog who's clearly depressed because she feeds her dog kibble that's devoid of protein, so the dog is slowly dying. Trail of Tears (Punishment)

The trail of tears is a punishment used on misbehaving privates who tend to physically assault their NCOs. In order to carry out this punishment, a platoon must form two parallel lines. The soldier being punished must low crawl between the two lines while the people in line spit on them, forming the trail of tears.
